Microtek i320 Scanner and Snow Leopard

Microtek i320Since searching “Microtek i320″ and “Snow Leopard” brought me nowhere definitive and I figured at least two others out there may be experiencing similar woes, I have deduced that my Microtek i320 scanner will not work with Snow Leopard. This is as of October 2009. There is no upgraded driver and no news of it coming anytime soon (although other scanners, even others in the “i” series, have announced driver upgrades coming in November 2009 and other third party applications offer support for other Microtek scanners).

So, today, I packed it up and placed it in the closet in hopes that this will not always be the case.

If you know otherwise, please let me know.

Tears…

Update: received an email tha the following driver works with Snow Leopard. Haven’t had time to test it yet.

Update II (Jan 9, 2010): Finally getting around to testing this out. The link leads to a page telling me: “No file downloads found for model ScanMaker i800″.” Trying a few different models, but something seems to be up with Microtek in general. No luck yet…
