After the wildly successful screening of NERDCORE RISING and stand-up performance by NEGIN FARSAD last night for the Tuesdays at the Gish Film Series, Carolyn and I drove home. By Midnight or so, I was in the stuffed rental minivan with Gabe and Mike. Gabe drove through the night. After a couple hours of failed attempted sleeping, I stayed up with him (save for a few head nods of narcoleptic-like sleep).
We made it to Mike’s friend’s place in College Park, Maryland by 8 or 9 am where we almost immediately descended to the basement for a few hours of sleep. I think I got a got few hours. I am surprisingly feeling refreshed.
Now, Gabe is trying to pretend he is still sleeping, Mike snores away (he is a good sleeper), and I–ever the nerd–am writing this, updating my Twitter, checking e-mail, and ‘Facebooking” on someone’s left-open “linksys.”
